The coronavirus pandemic hit the humanity hard, and one thing it taught us the importance of wearing masks as it helped in containing the disease which took a toll on millions of lives across the world. However, a man from Peshawar in Pakistan had to pay the price for wearing a mask while he was out for the celebration of New Year’s Eve of 2021.
What’s wrong you ask? The mask, in itself, wasn’t a protective covering but a costume mask to scare off people. Yep.
According to authorities, the man in question wore a wolf mask and planned to pull pranks on people on the last day of 2020 following which he was detained.
Pakistani journalist Omar R Quraishi took to Twitter to share the incident, donning the mask, can be seen handcuffed along with the cops in the frame, posing for the photograph.
The bizarre incident took social media by storm and went viral. Many netizens “lauded” him albeit sarcastically for being “responsible” for at least wearing a mask in times of coronavirus.
At least he is wearing a mask in covid times.
