Mumbai, Apr 5 (PTI) : Kanga League is a widely known monsoon season cricket event performed in Mumbai. Former Mumbai cricketer and Kanga League star, Mehli Irani handed away in Dubai.
Mumbai Cricket Affiliation’s (MCA) Apex Council member Nadim Menon and famous curator, who had helped Irani, informed PTI on Monday that Irani handed away in Dubai on Saturday and the final rites have been held there itself a day later.
A left-handed batsman and wicket-keeper, Irani performed the Kanga League for 50 years and had represented the Bombay Gymkhana and Parsee Cyclists on the club-level, one other MCA official stated, including that he solely performed one recreation for Bombay (now Mumbai) in opposition to Baroda in 1953-54.
Check cricketers like Nari Contractor, Farokh Engineer, Karsan Ghavri and Ghulam Parkar, performed underneath Irani for Parsee Cyclists.
