The President of India Ram Nath Kovind has appointed Justice NV Ramana because the forty eighth Chief Justice of India, accepting the advice made by the outgoing CJI
Justice Ramana, who would be the forty eighth CJI, was appointed to the Supreme Court docket on February 17, 2014.
He’ll take over as CJI on April 24, 2021 after the retirement of incumbent CJI, SA Bobde on April 23.
