The Indian cricket board (BCCI) has stored Hyderabad as standby venue for the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches within the wake of rising Covid-19 instances in India.
The main target is on Mumbai since Maharashtra is on the verge of lockdown. Though no official assertion has been made, there have been indications of a lockdown by the state authorities.
The IPL 2021 can be held throughout six venues. Whereas the primary part of the matches can be held in Chennai and Mumbai, the bandwagon strikes to Ahmedabad and Delhi for the second part. The final part of the league video games can be held in Bengaluru and Kolkata.
