New Delhi: North Delhi Mayor Jai Prakash cleared the proposal throughout a gathering on Tuesday which makes it necessary for eating places and outlets to show whether or not the meat being offered or served is halal or jhatka.
North Delhi has numerous eateries, eating places and avenue facet outlets promoting or serving non-vegetarian meals gadgets, outstanding locations being Chandni Chowk, Daryaganj and Kashmere Gate.
The proposal was just lately moved by the Standing Committee of the NDMC.
Based on PTI, Jai Prakash stated “So, eating places and outlets in north Delhi will now must mandatorily show whether or not the meat being offered or served is halal or jhatka”.
An identical proposal was cleared by the South Delhi Municipal Company late January stating that eating places and outlets in markets in areas together with Defence Colony, Amar Colony, Sarojini Nagar, South Extension, and INA which promote non-vegetarian gadgets should “show clearly and visibly” whether or not they’re serving halal or jhatka.
“Jhatka” methodology is one during which an animal is slaughtered in a single go, whereas within the ”halal” methodology, an animal is allowed to die after reducing a vein.
