Bengaluru: Workers of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Company (BMTC), Karnataka State Highway Transport Company (KSRTC), North Western Karnataka Highway Transport Company (NWKRTC) and North Jap Karnataka Highway Transport Company (NEKRTC) have declared a strike ranging from April seventh 2021 below the banner of Karnataka State Highway Transport Workers League. 

The staff of the state run transportation are protesting towards the governments failure to implement a wage below the sixth Pay Fee.

Apart from which, KSRTC staff are demanding for wage hike, everlasting job, wages and shifts. These staff are working as contract employees within the division.

“Transport staff have given a name to go on strike from Wednesday, the chief minister held a dialogue on this regard, we’re requesting staff to not go on strike preserving COVID-19 scenario in thoughts.
